Make Angel Food Ministries a part of your New Year's resolution to do something good for your body while doing something even better for your soul.

Last year alone, Angel Food Ministries donated about $8.2 million back to community churches and organizations in 44 states through sales of its food boxes.  Additionally, it donated and shipped millions of pounds of food to shelters, food pantries and soup kitchens, as well as to people living in areas struck by natural disasters around the country.  All this was possible because people chose to eat well for less through Angel Food's faith through food relief program.

Make Angel Food Ministries a part of your life.  Our hand up instead of a hand out makes you as much a part of the resolution to do unto others as we'd hope to have done for us, making all of our time in this world a little brighter and better.

Happy New Year 2010!

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia (between Atlanta and Athens), and has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of families every month across 35 states. Angel Food Ministries crosses denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through salvation tracts that are placed in each food order.

In 1994, Pastors Joe and Linda Wingo found their hearts going out to the families of many of the local families in Monroe, GA, affected by the recent industrial plant closings.  On their back porch, the first Angel Food distribution fed 34 families.  Over the next years, other churches wanted to get involved, and Angel Food began feeding hundreds of families across the southeast.  Now, Angel Food feeds over 500,000 families a month in 35 states.  Praise the Lord for his faithfulness!
